What are standard window replacement sizes?

There are two standard sizes for home windows, but there are many sizes of windows to choose from. The standard sizes are 2020 and 3838. Window size 2020 is two feet by two feet, excluding the ½ inch taken off for the manufacturer. The actual size of the window will be 23 ½ inches by 23 ½ inches. Likewise, the 3838, 3’ 8” by 3’ 8”, is actually 43 ½ inches by 43 ½ inches. Please note that with any specialist, there is a way to replace any size window with an in home consultation. While these sizes are standard, there are many other available sizes of windows.
